Mind-map for ESL Teachers

I know using mind maps in ESL classrooms is not new. Mind map has been used to organize thoughts, brainstorm, and even to prepare notes.

ESL teachers may use a mind map of a topic, unit, lesson or theme they will teach in their ESL classrooms. On http://www.pearltrees.com ,  Google, bubble.us, applet has many free mind map tools  available to download for free.

ESL teachers may use a mind map for teaching lexical chunks. Mind maps could be use for teaching vocabulary words.

Mind map is an excellent tool to teach ESL students writing. It helps students begin a writing task. ESL teachers may use mind maps to explain writing a paragraph, Main idea, Detail sentence, time order words, lead and ending sentences.
