Teachers
are preparing for “back to school” the secret to success is in the planning,
not the pedagogy. Some teachers dread going back to school, while others are
excited. If you are in the group of teachers feeling dread, it means you need
to take steps to change things.
Teachers
need preparation for new course books as well as classroom management. Have you
ever thought there are some application, it could help teacher's classroom management?
Today
I am going to talk about one application (class Dojo) teachers can use to
better manage their classrooms. This application helps teachers to keep track
and be aware of each of their students' progress. This application is available
on Android and iOs free to download.
This
application is simple for busy teachers. You can download it free after
finished downloading it will ask “teachers account or parents' account? After opening an account teacher can add his/her all student names and
their picture. She/he can track their attendance.
This
application is a helpful tool for teachers to gather and generate data on the
behavior of students. Teachers can share information about students with school
administration and parents in order to update them quickly about the status of
students in the classroom.
Teachers
can connect with parents from his/her classroom. The app also provides a secure
communication method for teachers to send feedback about a student to their
parents, similar to a continuous progress report on how the children are doing.
Teachers can share whole class broadcasts with parents.
By
using this tool, a teacher has a number of predefined behavior options under
the categories of positive and negative behaviors. A teacher can also add new
behavior options to the list as well.
Every time a teacher clicks on a positive or negative behavior option of
a student, a +1 or -1 is added to the student profile in that class.
I am
sure if teachers start using this application they will be appreciated by
parents. Parents will not receive a surprise at the end of the terms, and
students will know the news of their behavior will reach to their parents
before they reach home.
